Batteries. PMNN4412 and PMNN4415AR: Lithium for handheld two-way radio without memory effect
How Lithium Differs from Nickel in Daily Work
Nickel-metal hydride batteries, which we have already discussed in the technical guide HNN9009, have a rule of smooth cycle: worked shift - put on night charging. Lithium-ion PMNN4412 and PMNN4415AR Li-Ion has no memory effect, and two-way radio can be recharged at any time - at least fifteen minutes between flights. For change with breaks it is more convenient: the battery does not require bringing to zero and does not spoil from short recharges.

Two configurations for two tasks
The PMNN4412 is a standard lithium-ion battery: its capacity is enough for a normal working shift with a margin for negotiations. The PMNN4415AR is a high-capacity configuration, and the difference is felt precisely on long shifts: when two-way radio is on the belt from morning to night, there is no place to recharge it, and the channel is occupied constantly. The rule of choice is simple: shift up to ten hours - take the standard, the change is longer or the connection is tense - increased capacity. In a pair, they close both scenarios, and many brigades hold one copy of each.
How to Charge Lithium to Live Longer
Li-Ion has two enemies: deep discharge and heat. Deep discharge - when two-way radio turns off itself: such cycles noticeably eat up the resource, so the battery on the belt is changed, without waiting for an automatic shutdown. Heat is a summer car cabin under the sun and a battery forgotten at the heater: it is better to store and charge lithium at room temperature. In winter, lithium yields less capacity than nickel in the cold – if you work mainly in the cold, see also the nickel-metal hydride HNN9009 for GP340: it is more predictable there.
Compatibility: Compatible by series
The seat and battery contacts of different Motorola series have their own - a visually similar battery of a neighboring model may simply not sit down or give contact. Therefore, as with other accessories, before ordering, we check compatibility on your two-way radio list: send models - we will confirm the appropriate configuration by letter to exclude returns due to a mismatched seat.
What to take with batteries
It’s smart to add a charger to each new battery—so charging in breaks actually works, rather than remaining an intention. For the park handheld two-way radio GP340 cases are useful: they protect the body and mounting of the battery from erasing on the belt. All this is available, the positions in the block "Available" below.
How to order
Write to the e-mail model two-way radio and the desired number of batteries - we will respond during the working day with the price, availability and delivery time. We deliver transport companies throughout the country and to Kazakhstan - we will put the original documents in the cargo space.
